I grew up in the Salt Lake Valley and moved to Arizona in 2023 to continue my education and training in Clinical Psychology. I am a third-year clinical psychology doctoral student at Northern Arizona University. I feel incredibly grateful to be on a path that allows me to support and empower others on their journey toward healing.

My experiences as a husband and father have helped shape how I view the therapeutic relationship; with deep respect, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others feel seen, heard, and supported.

My clinical interests include suicide and risk prevention and mood, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders. With a background in suicide prevention research, advocacy, and peer mentoring, I am deeply committed to helping individuals understand they don’t have to face their mental health challenges alone. I believe healing is possible for everyone, and meaningful change can happen with the proper support, compassion, and evidence-based care.

Education and Professional Experience

I am pursuing my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Northern Arizona University, where my training has focused on individual and systemic approaches to mental health care, specifically in treatment and assessment. I have received and will continue training in several evidence-based modalities, including Person-Centered Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Marriage and Family Therapy approaches. I have also been trained in and continue to be trained in evidence-based psychological assessments.

I bring a strong foundation in individual and group therapy, suicide prevention work, which has included research and hands-on advocacy, as well as providing peer mentorship to individuals navigating mental health crises. These experiences have helped shape my identity as a clinician-in-training who prioritizes human connection, safety, and evidence-based care.

Professionalism, ethics, and a close, collaborative relationship with my supervising clinician are core to my approach. I am committed to ongoing growth and lifelong learning to become the most effective, compassionate, and well-rounded psychologist I can be.

My Approach & Philosophy

Effective therapy and assessment begin with the therapeutic relationship, establishing empathy and unconditional positive regard. My role is to walk alongside those I serve, helping them clarify their values, overcome barriers, and move toward meaningful goals.

Whether working with individuals, couples, or families, I seek to understand each person’s unique cultural, spiritual, and personal values. My approach is collaborative and deeply rooted in compassion. I tailor therapy to each client’s needs, creating a safe and respectful space for healing and growth.

As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I understand LDS individuals’ unique challenges in balancing faith and life. I strive to help people of all faiths and backgrounds integrate their beliefs, spirituality, culture, and community into therapy. Faith, spirituality, and psychological science can work together to support healing, and I tailor evidence-based approaches to honor each person’s values and strengths.

As someone passionate about mental health, I am especially committed to helping individuals build hope and reclaim their sense of purpose. I consider it a privilege to be part of someone’s mental health journey and am honored to support them every step of the way.
